Ilke, Turkey, November 2021

Greg is a great teacher and I really enjoy talking with him. Time flies in the lessons, thanks to him very much.

Chika, Japan, November 2021

I really enjoy his lessons! He is very familiar with history and gives me a lot of new facts that I don't know while teaching about English. Also, he is patient. I can enjoy conversation without having fear of making mistakes :)

Jen, China, February 2021

Greg is a patient teacher. He is really knowledgeable! Every time I have class with him I always learn something new. Plus, for the things I am already informed about, he illustrates it really well and explores related topics. It has helped me a lot since everything I learned before was based on Mandarin. Great experience! I recommend more students to attend his class!

Toshi, Japan, February 2021

He listens to me patiently and gives me appropriate feedback. Some tutors often tend to be too talkative, but he isn't. He is always supportive of improving students' English skills.

Hi, I’m Greg Batchelder

My teaching experiences are broad and varied. I have taught English as a second language to indigenous Bribri elementary and high school students in Costa Rica while living on the Talamancan Indigenous Reserve. I have also taught English online to adults, high school students, and elementary school students. I am TESOL certified and have taught both STEAM and STEM curriculum. In the United States, I have taught swimming, lifesaving, first aid, and CPR for the American Red Cross. I also taught an after school curriculum for junior high and high school students. And finally, I have worked as both a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant as well as an Instructor of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Colorado Mesa University.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, a Master’s degree in anthropology, and have taken classes and conducted research in the field of biomedical cultural anthropology. I have taught as a graduate student and also for one year as Instructor of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Colorado Mesa University.

I have had the opportunity to engage with persons from cultures all around the world. I believe cultural sharing and knowledge are of the utmost importance in this shrinking world. Most importantly, I love to teach. I value the opportunity to share my education and experience with my students. Through an exposure to the breadth of human knowledge and experience, people become inspired to be their best, to strive for answers, to be productive and hopeful, and in turn inspire others.
